Lovely setting on the bank of the river Seine. Good size pitches with private hedging. we were on the other side backing into a large pond - lots of wildlife to watch.
Short walk into Les Anderlys which is a pretty french town. further walks along the river good for our dog.
Two good swimming pools on site, toilets and showers clean . good bar and restaurant on site .
only slight negative was traffic noise from the road however this would not stop us returning .

We loved this site. Easy 70 miles south of Dieppe. The beautiful trees are a lot bigger now than in photos so sunny and shady pitches available, all of them desirable in different ways. One pool is now covered. Lots of frog singing by lake.

Quite a big site, mainly comprising of holiday homes & facilities are good. Toilets have seats and toilet paper.

Pitches are flat & quite spacious. With hindsight, we’d have paid the a night premium for a riverside pitch to watch the traffic along the Seine (a lot of large barges & cruise boats).

Pools & children’s facilities seem good, although we didn’t use them.

Reception staff were friendly & helpful, putting up with our need to change pitches in order to get satellite reception (the Rugby World Cup was on during our stay) & finding me a dentist in Les Andelys.

We don’t know about the summer, but croissants, etc weren’t available at reception during our stay (October) however the local boulangerie is a pleasant 15 minute walk away beyond the church in Petite Andelys (very busy on a Sunday morning).

Les Andelys is a pretty little town & the chateau is well worth the climb up the hill. Views from outside the chateau are fantastic. When we arrived at the castle we found that dogs aren’t allowed in so we couldn’t go in. There are plenty of other walking opportunities in the area as well.

This is a great site & in itself it deserves a high star rating, however it is noisy! The main road runs alongside the site & is used all night by trucks, along with the local ‘boy racers’ in their noisy cars & wasp in a bottle scooters. The river cruisers also moor up nearby & seem to have their engines running much of the night.

Location, pool,cleanliness

Looking for an alternative stop over, we stopped here on the way back to the Tunnel.
We were really impressed with the site, friendly staff and location. Although we didn’t use it, the two pools looked great and because September is classes out of season the bar and restaurant were closed, but once again they looked fine. The site location on the Seine is nice and plenty of walks from the site. Nice little town close by, typically French!
We have decided to return to enjoy this site again and stay longer next time.

We stayed for just one night, while travelling northwards.
The site itself was busy but fairly quiet. It\'s situated between the river (some barge traffic) and the main road, which was pretty quiet overnight.
The showers were as lukewarm as the welcome at reception.
The toilets, with seats and some had paper as well.
It\'s expensive if you don’t use the facilities.

Les Andelys is a lovely Norman, half-timbered town, accessed by a traffic-free walk along the cycle path from the campsite.

We won\'t be returning.

lovely campsite right by the river, close to the village, decent sized pitches good facilities although water is not very hot sometimes , liked it enough to stay in the way out, and on the way back !

good site but noisy from the barges and cruises on the Seine. needs more water points.
the bread very expensive in the morning. restaurant limited menu pizzas and a couple of salads and a burger

this is usually our first stop from the ferry. it is easily reached from Calais. good sized pitches plenty of shade good facilities staff really friendly and speak good English always nice to walk along the river bank towards the town. restaurants within easy walking distance of campsite. haven’t made it to the castle yet.

We planned on one night here and stayed four - and could easily have stayed longer. It’s a super little site in a picturesque location with lots to do in the surrounding area. We loved watching the swans and coypu in the lake behind us, and the cruise ships and freight plying the Seine along the front of the site. With the village of les Andelys with its old castle just a short walk away and good facilities on site, it all made for a very relaxing and pleasant stay.
