We have spent a couple of days at this site and was very disappointed. Firstly my wife was looking forward to a swim in the pool, on inspection it was dirty and had a frog swimming among the flies, we were told later it had closed (earlier than advertised). Our next visit was the shower and toilet block, a modern building, but in the ladies shower section, there was what looked like a load of May bugs laying dead all over the floor, my wife refused to use the facilities until they were swept up and the facilities cleaned, so we decided to wait and see how quick the owners took to give everything a good clean. On day three, when we left, nothing had been touched. To cap it all, I was asked to pay more as advertised. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

A campsite with good facilities in a beautiful setting. It was 35 degrees so we appreciated the spotless swimming pool and shady pitches (although more open ones are available). Clean, welcoming bar with roast chicken on Tuesdays.
