This is the third time that I have stayed at this site. Pitches are large and many flat, plenty of shade, great position on an island in the Loire, great swimming pool, bar and restaurant open, facilities clean and functional, and an easy walk into Saumur centre where there is a great market on Saturdays. No hesitation to come back for another visit.

Pleasantly surprised by this site & would use again for a day or two stopover.

Cannot recommend for a weekend stay.
We were unable to get to sleep due to several large, loud groups of "lads", drunk, shouting, chanting & playing music across the campsite until early hours. Vehicles entering/leaving all night (no security). Staff were unable or unwilling to intervene and, as they were clearly allowing these groups to stay for a second night, we left (despite our 3 day booking). Reception apologised but advised that only head office could issue our refund (still waiting after almost a month and no response to emails)

We were pleasantly surprised at the toilet & shower facilities as they were very spacious & clean, the toilets had toilet paper but no seats. Pitches are on the small side & the one we had No.20 was very small, a bit like camping on a small roundabout. The swimming pool looked lovely as did the restaurant. Outside the campsite is a nice bar/restaurant which overlooks The Loire.

lovely campsite in excellent location. Really good facilities and excellent VFM in May. Were given option to select our pitch which was helpful as some were a little muddy after 2 days of thunderstorms. Overall a great site and will use again.

Again ok until the site moves school groups of teenagers into their lodges. Then the site becomes chaotic, noisy, loud music and singing and constant shouting. staff with them did not intervene. glad it was our last night. won’t be back.

Lovely location on the island in the Loire near Saumur. Easy access to the city and castle, petit train visits and great walks and cycling around the island. Nice swimming pool with restaurant/bar.

A pleasant surprise when staying at this site. We planned an overnight stop but stayed for five nights.
The shower block was not the most modern but cleaned regularly and provided the facilities that we required.
An excellent swimming pool and restaurant area which overlooks the chateau/castle.
The walk into the heart of the town was slightly longer than expected, especially for my wife who has mobility issues. However, she managed the walk alongside the river with stops. Would definitely visit again.

we stayed here because we really wanted to see the spectacular town.
Mmmm the site is tired and could do with some TLC at least.
The reception staff are really good and helpful. The pool and bar/ restaurant are lovely and the location to Saumur is ideal. Just a level short walk into town.
Okay, there is a but, the toilets are not cleaned to a standard you’d expect, a dribble of water from the shower (heads limed up) and need updating.
Pitches are totally shaded by trees, okay if you like shade but i like to decide if i want shade or not. I know thats a personal choice but there was no other choice.
Nice view of the town but not from your pitch.
We will not return!

Arrived at reception when another Brit was complaining about the pitch size and not being able to get a 9m MH and a tow car on his pitch. To be fair not many sites would be able to facilitate that. The receptionist kept her cool under the situation and tried to help as best as possible.
The toilets are not good or at least the block local to us wasn’t. The showers were just a dribble. The pitches were scruffy and dark from shade. The pool and bar area looked great but we didn’t use it because we were there to visit Saumur not the site. Amazing town well worth the visit but the site is not. It needs some money spend on it now.
