A lovely location right on the bank of the Vienne river and a short walk into town. Many campers were also cycling in the area. Snack bar serves pizzas, burgers and Paella on rotation at a very good price. Other restaurants in walking distance. Tranquil spot, good for relaxing.

we both liked this site. peaceful location alongside the river with decent facilities and helpful staff. we were here at the end of the season so it was winding down. canoes and bikes available on site. across the river is a section of the Charanre Way which was a nice walk. would recommend a stay if you are passing.

Riverside location. The site offers free kayaks and cylces. Easy access to river swimming. Walking routes are reasonably well marked, and town is within easy walking distance. Regular visiting food vans.

This is a great family run campsite. Good size, well maintained pitches with good shade from the sun. On the banks of the River Vienne where you can swim and kayak. We stayed 2 nights but could easily have started longer and really chilled out. oh, and they do some amazingly good pizzas on site some evenings.

Lovely location along river. Exceptionally clean & well maintained site. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Very homely scenic site. There wasn\'t much to do in town after 8 pm but we were only staying for one night. Defo recommended stop over and we will return.

A really lovely, well-kept campsite with some thoughtful touches, like the donations hut where campers can leave any unwanted items, for use by other campers.

There\'s a food van which visits most nights, speciality seems to be different flavoured frites.

There\'s a small river beach with Picnic benches nearby and free use of canoes.

There\'s a children\'s play area.

it was nice to see the free-roaming chickens with chicks.

It\'s a short walk into Confolens, which boasts a fish and chip shop (closed, when we were there).

Conveniently placed for visits to Oradour (about 30 mins by car).

Will definitely return, next time we\'re in the area.

Excellent campsite with friendly wardens who are very helpful. Town centre five minutes away. Facilities are kept spotlessly clean. We revisited three times on this trip. The warden even brought us some of his freshly pick strawberries - they tasted fantastic. Market in town on Saturday.

Nice campsite overlooking the river. Good size grass pitches. The pitches slightly back from the river are best as the riverside pitches are too shady. Toilet facilities and waste are all ok. Bread man calls 8.30 to 9.00am. 5 mins walk to town.
