This did not start well as the rough access road leads to a sharp entrance, with another motorhome already parked I stopped quite close in and waited for my wife to check in. A member of staff in a nearly 2m wide vehicle tried to pass between me and a hedge that was perhaps a 1.5m gap. Probably the damage less than my excess. The site was crowded and someone was already using our allocated pitch, so we needed to move even nearer the glass recycling bin, which combined with the youngsters karaoke and the infant’s midnight bawling followed by staff cutting the hedges in the morning. The washrooms are in need of major overhaul. Muddy toilet floors, only cold water in the showers, needle sharp jets on a less than 10 second timer, no hand soap dispensers, toilet paper or hand drying. The grey water emptying requires moving a very heavy sliding plate (too heavy for me) and seemed to also be the place to empty toilet waste, but that was ambiguous. A meal in the restaurant was quite reasonable, and the shop has enough necessities, with a Carrefour a short bike ride away. staff tried to be helpful and spoke excellent English. Cycling to Lerici over the hills was fun although a little strenuous, but there is an easy route that we took on the return. The price seems fair reflecting the quality of the place, although many free aires have been more comfortable.
